The 2023 Virtual Annual Conference is live April 20-22 and is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection to your phone, tablet, or laptop. Attendees may register for live-virtual (17.5 CEs) or live-virtual plus 60-day access to recorded sessions (earn up to 63.5 CEs), which runs April 23-June 23. On-demand-only registration is also an option, with access to recorded sessions available April 23-June 23.
Registration for the live-Virtual Conference April 20-22 and on-demand-only option are open.
You can earn up to 63.5 CEs if you register live-virtual plus 60-day access to recorded sessions, or on-demand only. You can earn up to 17.5 CE hours if you register for live virtual only. See the full conference agenda here.

Once you've joined NASW, contact the NASWVA office at 804-204-1339 to ensure that you are in our system as a member, then you will be able to register for the conference at the reduced rate.
Yes, no problem! Yes! You can earn up to 63.5 CEs by emailing professionaldevelopment.naswva@socialworkers.org to request an upgrade to 60-day access to all recorded sessions and keynotes. Once payment is processed and the change made in your registration status, you’ll have on-demand convenience April 23-June 23 right from your home or office. Note that in this case, you’ll need to complete and submit all session evaluations by June 30 to earn your CEs.
We are happy to offer a group discount for three or more employees from the same organization. The discount is 10% off registration rates. If you have more than three employees who plan to register for the conference, contact Jaime Strohhacker at professionaldevelopment.naswva@socialworkers.org to begin the process.
Each year, NASW Virginia and Metro DC chapters recognize members as the BSW Student of the Year, MSW Student of the Year, Social Worker of the Year, Citizen of the Year, and for the Lifetime Achievement Award. To nominate an outstanding colleague or yourself, please complete the short form and submit by JANUARY 31, 2023.

Unfortunately, no Student Conference will be held. However, free monthly virtual social work student events are held on different student-related topics. Navigating the Conference: Tech Basics and Troubleshooting

Our virtual conference will offer many of the same components you love at our in-person conference! You will have access to numerous learning and networking opportunities through keynotes, breakouts, sponsor and exhibitor booths, and more. You can continue to interact with other attendees and come away feeling connected and supported.
The virtual conference is April 20-22, and you can participate virtually anywhere that you have internet access. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile, and tablet devices. Sessions start daily at 9 a.m. ET and end at approximately 1:50 p.m. ET. Visit the Auditorium to see the sessions.
No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate. You only need access to the internet.
No. Some exhibitors may have the ability to request a video chat, but it is not required in order to participate.
Your login information is the email address you provided during registration. Please remember which email you use to register! No password is needed. Please use Chrome as your browser.

Yes. Just like a physical event, you will have a virtual Briefcase to add all of the documents available and then email them to yourself.
The media player will automatically adapt the video quality down, depending on your available bandwidth. The lowest adaption is an audio-only stream.
If you are on a slow internet connection, you may experience moments of buffering. If you are connected over VPN, disconnect from it and refresh the page. If you are using wi-fi, try connecting to the internet directly via an ethernet cable.
